PDEA 677 - 13 DAYS MAASAI MARA/ LAKE NAKURU/ SAMBURU/ MT.KENYA/ LAKE MANYARA/ NGORONGORO/ SERENGET1.
DAY
1: MAASAI MARA.
After breakfast we will pick you up from your Nairobi
Hotel thereafter depart for Masai Mara game reserve stopping
at the view point of the great rift valley and at Narok
town for lunch. Arrive in time for late afternoon or early
evening game drive in this park which is essentially the
northern extension of Serengeti National park in Tanzania.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day
2: MAASAI MARA
After breakfast have a full day of game viewing with a
picnic lunch at the Hippo pool whereby you will have a
good opportunity of spotting Hippos and crocodiles basking
in the sun at a close distance.Masai Mara is a savanna
grassland on rolling hills thus enhancing excellent photography
and viewing of animals and is renowned for its great herds
of plains game, black manned lion, leopard and cheetah.
it also has numerous elephants and virtually every type
of wildlife to be found in Kenya. This park is the Northern
Extension of Serengeti National park in Tanzania and the
annual migration of close 800,000 zebras and wild beast
takes place between the two parks. The animals’
move as a great mass across the savannah in a follow the
leader fashion, they follow the rains and when they arrive
from Serengeti there is new succulent grass. They return
to Serengeti when the grasses begin to whither and when
rains are over. Return to the campsite in time for dinner
and overnight.

DAY
3: MARA/NAKURU
Leave for Lake Nakuru national park after a morning game
drive,drive in this park that is well known for its millions
of flamingoes. Lake Nakuru lies in the volcano strewn
Riftvalley.One of the chains of 8 lakes which stretch
the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. More than
350 species of birds can be seen in this lake and is the
best place to spot the Rothschild giraffe and the white
Rhino. Other animals found in this park is cape buffalo,
leopard, baboons,Warthorg among others. Visit to the Baboon
cliff the view point of this park and Makalia fall will
be of added beauty. Return back to Nairobi after Game
drive.
DAY
4: NANYUKI/SAMBURU
After breakfast depart for Samburu National Park, via
the Thompson falls and Nanyuki town for lunch, arrive
there in time of a early evening game drive in this park
that is found in the northern part of the equator and
contains rare drought resistant animals species which
go for a long period without water., this park is inhabited
by the Samburu community, a nomadic tribe who are distant
cousins to the Masai.The Ewaso nyiro river transverse
this park its source being the Aberdare ranges. Samburu
is dry most of the time but is watered by the Ewaso Nyiro.

Day
5: SAMBURU FULL DAY
Morning and afternoon drive game drives in this park with
lunch and leisure at the lodge or campsite in mid afternoon.
The animals that are found in this park include Reticulated
giraffe, Beisa Oryx,grevys Zebra, the blue shanked Somali
ostrich,the generuk or giraffe gazelle. The vegetations
that are found in this region are drought resistance,
these include Desert rose, desiccated grass and acacia
trees or bushes. Rest of the meals in the campsite or
lodge.
Day
6: SAMBURU/MT.KENYA
Proceed for morning game drive after breakfast at the
part park followed by a departure for Mt.Kenya to arrive
in the afternoon. After lunch visit the Mau Mau caves
at the foots of Mt.Kenya where the freedom fighters used
to hide. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
7: MT.KENYA/NAIROBI.
After breakfast leave the Nanyuki region and drive back
to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
Dinner and overnight in Nairobi.
DAY
7: NAIROBI/ARUSHA.
Catch the morning shuttle bus to Arusha via Namanga boarder
for migration formalities arriving in Arusha between 6.00
and 7.00 pm. Dinner and overnight in a budget hotel.
DAY
8: ARUSHA/LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National park.
The park has distinct vegetation zones and is of scenic
beauty. Animals seen here include the tree climbing lions,
bufallo, elephants, leopard and black rhino. Lesser flamingoes
and Egyptian geese are some of the birds seen here. Dinner
and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
9: LAKE MANYARA/NGORONGORO
After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro crater arriving
there in time for a game drive. All the big five can be
seen in this park. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
10: NGORONGORO CRATER
Have a full day tracking game with your guide on the Crater
floor.you will break for your picnic lunch at the Ngoitoktok
springs picnic campsite. All the big five may be seen.
Other species encountered are cheetah, Grants and Thompson
gazelle, common zebra, spotted hyena. Flamingoes may also
be seen at the crater lake. This day will truly be an
unforgettable encounter. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
11: NGORONGORO/SERENGETI.
After breakfast depart the ngorongoro conservation area
for the Serengeti National park via the pre-historic site
at Olduvai Gorge. The gorge museum has great wealth of
the remains of various flora and fauna from the early
man era. Continue to the Serengeti for an afternoon game
drive, lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
12: SERENGETI FULL DAY.
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with
a lunch and leisure break at the Campsite in the mid afternoon.
it is possible to view all the big five. Animals here
are seen in very large herds, especially wildebeest, zebra
occurs in this park in June/July. In the parks central
plains there are carnivores like lion,leopard,hyenas and
cheetah. Rest of meals and overnight at the campsite.
DAY
13: SERENGETI/NAIROBI.
After breakfast, leave for Arusha to arrive there in time
for an afternoon shuttle bus back to Nairobi arriving
here in the evening.
